Notes: THC For the Ears is a collection of improvised songs, ideas, etc. The album is entirely acoustic, some of the work planned, some not planned ("Hindered" ends with a string breaking and sampling the noise for the background of "Verdant"). Many of the songs are written in open tuning, such as Open C, Modal D, Open G, etc. Others were written with a Capo, changing the tuning as well. Some of the tracks were rewritten for Residue, while others remain in the moment of their conception as it may be difficult to rewrite them.

Also, I'm still trying to locate most of the tracks, as they are pretty much lost from my hands.

Notes: The Residue of a Decomposed Capillary is an attempt to cross mediums of art, to create a synesthesia of artwork. The album idea was conceived in my college dorm room, where I began reinterpreting a poem of mine under the same name. The idea was to create a "soundtrack" to the writings, so that one can understand the mood of how he/she reads the piece. Much like the idea of a binaural effect, the surround sound of several different art perspectives creates this album, not just the music. During the process of this album, I began experimenting with my initial recording techniques, no use of multi-track programs, but comparing waves and mashing them together (a much more tedious process). Much of the album is filled with effects and layers to give each track more color and an overall psychedelic approach. Live, these songs were played with a 12 String Acoustic Guitar, direct input to an array of pedals, and a microphone to the guitar to create a distorted and clean sound at the same time. My hopes were to make the music its own "drug trip", as the album goes through moods, soundscapes, and ambience to give an overall ethereal feel to its listener.

Notes: With Muted Tongues is an improvised session recorded live at Towson University during the Fall of 2006. Not only was the set improvised, but the players were also improvised. While none of the band members had ever played together, Ryan Scherer, Garrett Long, and Dan Zuckerman were all part of other projects that day and were invited to play together blindly. The three played a 45 minute set and the recording was split into 11 tracks. Later, Dan Zuckerman was invited to play with the Rupa sessions and the twelfth track is a shortened improvisation based on the WMT session. A couple more shows emerged from With Muted Tongues, as Ryan set up shows at Baltimore clubs and invited members of other bands on the bill to join in improvised sets. With Muted Tongues is an attempt to keep a jam session as varied as possible, as members are constantly rotated.

Notes: DE-173 is a collection of recordings, both live and studio. It has many progressive elements, ambient elements and mathematical elements that give the musical compositions a sense of discomfort, distress, dissonance, distraught, and disassociation; in hopes to create a somewhat musical psychosis. Many of the songs change in time signature to create confusion in the music and gives it an overall sense of lost form. Many of the tracks cross genres, such as the remix of an older track, "Canorous", remixed by Dirty Scarab of Baltimore, MD. some tracks take genres and bring in a new idea from another genre, such as the Math-Hop tracks, "sevenFOUR" and "OPTK", which take breakbeats and mash them with the attention deficit time changes of Math Rock. The theme of confusion and disjointedness of DE-173 is based on a "story" of a historic science project gone wrong and the aftermath of its guinea pigs. The album portrays a reflection of their experience through music rather than words, as words cannot comprehend their story as well as music can.
